PRINT SPECIFICATIONS AND ARTWORK SET UP GUIDE
To ensure your artwork or print collateral is set up correctly, please refer to Eplot’s comprehensive print specifications guide. Following these guidelines will help achieve accurate, high-quality printing results and avoid unnecessary delays.
Trim marks are placed at the corners of your artwork to indicate exactly where the final piece will be cut. Bleed refers to the portion of your design – such as background colours or images – that extends beyond the trim edge to prevent unwanted white borders after trimming.
To ensure a clean, professional finish, please include trim marks and bleed on all artwork supplied for printing. A minimum of 3mm bleed is required for standard print jobs and 10mm bleed for large format printing.
For optimum print quality, all images should be supplied at 300ppi (pixels per inch) to ensure sharp, professional results.
If you have been advised that low-resolution images may be present in your artwork, this typically means one or more images are below 250ppi, which can result in blurred or pixelated prints.
A soft proof of your job will be provided prior to printing for review and approval. However, it is strongly recommended that all artwork is carefully checked to ensure there are no colour, spelling, or content errors before final sign-off.
When supplying artwork for prepress, files should be submitted as a press-ready PDF to ensure accurate and high-quality print results. JPEG files are not recommended, as compression can compromise image quality and affect the final printed outcome.
