SUSTAINABILITY AT E-PLOT
At E-Plot, we care about our planet and are dedicated to playing a significant part in reducing our carbon footprint. We strive to be as green as we can by implementing procedures to reduce waste, lower emissions, and create a cleaner future.
Our sustainable solutions include 100% recycled and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper stocks, as well as our investment in the HP Indigo Digital Printer. Every Indigo Printer is manufactured to be carbon neutral by HP, and its digital printing capability allows you to complete your project with minimal to no paper wastage.
REDUCING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Certification – We are currently working with the Environmental Management System for ISO 14001 certification, and the FSC for Chain of Custody Certification.
Eco Paper Stocks – E-Plot purchases carbon neutral paper and we strongly promote the use of sustainable paper to clients. Ask E-Plot to print your project on 100% recycled and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified stock!
Processes & Recycling – We are committed to keeping paper wastage to strict minimums by ensuring the correct sizing and proofing jobs to avoid excess trimming. Any excess stock is collected weekly by recyclers and taken to recycling plants. We use paper with fibre sourced from the pulp suppliers who provide us with FSC Certified stocks.
Technology – HP is recognized as one of the world’s most sustainable companies. Our investment in the HP Indigo press means every print we produce helps to reduce the impact of printing on the environment. The HP indigo features a range of technologies that help us reduce paper waste, energy use, and consumables consumption, and the Electroinks it uses are not classified as harmful. They have also passed leading standards tests to be used for printing compostable packaging.
What Is FSC and Why Should I Select an FSC Certified Stock for My Print Project?
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-governmental non-profit organisation that is dedicated to the responsible management of the world’s forests. It runs the most trusted certification system worldwide, ensuring that forests are managed to the highest environmental, social and economic standards. It is the only forest certification scheme endorsed by WWF, Greenpeace and Planet Ark.
Selecting an FSC labelled paper stock gives you the assurance that your paper comes from FSC certified forests or post-consumer waste. It is your guarantee that the paper you are using has the highest environmental credentials and contributes to the support of forests, indigenous people, wildlife & water ecosystems.
